I’m Laurence Fung.
Laurence Fung has proudly serves as the Group Scout Leader for the St. Stanislaus College Scout Group for over fourteen years. His journey as an adult scout leader began nineteen years ago when he took on the role of Assistant Group Commissioner, and he has been a dedicated member of the scout group for over forty-one years. Leading a large and vibrant scout group alongside twenty-one additional adult scout leaders, Laurence ensures the safety, security, and smooth execution of their many activities and meetings, always making these priorities his focus.
Scouting has become a way of life for Laurence, as he deeply enjoys working with children and providing the guidance and mentorship that is often lacking in today’s society. He is proud to hold the Wood Badge, symbolized by two beads, and aspires for his fellow leaders to achieve this milestone soon, further strengthening the group’s leadership. For Laurence, scouting is also a family affair, with his wife serving as Akela and his son as an Assistant Explorer Scout Leader.
In addition to his involvement with scouting, Laurence works professionally as the Property Manager at the High Commission of Canada for Guyana. This role, much like scouting, demands responsibility and dedication—values he strives to embody in every aspect of his life.
